Valentine’s Day 2016

Valentine's day 2016_3Love was in the air on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Valentine’s Day celebration at New Hope Academy’s Yardley campus. The festivities began after 5 short class periods and lunch. After gathering together in the Family Room, NHA president Kathy Rosso-Gana led everyone in a discussion about why Valentine’s Day is not only important, but also necessary. Kids offered their reasons, which included showing love to family and friendValentine's day 2016_2s and spreading kindness to others. They also supported the Prom Committee in their fundraising efforts by buying delicious baked goods. But the fun didn’t end there; previously purchased candy bags and carnations, an NHA tradition, were then distributed. Some were sent from friend to friend, some sent from teacher to student, and some were sent by secret admirers. The students then spent the rest of afternoon in “Coffee House,” where they could hang out before going home to enjoy their weekend. See the celebration on our Facebook Album.
