Friday, April 17, 2015 was the night every high school student anticipates all year long – Prom Night! This year’s prom theme was “Starry Night”, a nod to the ethereal painting by Vincent Van Gogh. Held at the Sheraton Hotel in Langhorne, PA, the evening began with the arrival of the students, who all looked fabulous and red-carpet ready. Everyone met in the hotel lobby, where students and staff could “oooh” and “aaah” over the beautiful dresses and dapper tuxedos. But inside was where the real party was – upon entering the ballroom, attendees were greeted by a magical collection of “Starry Night”-inspired artwork, lighting, and decor. The delicious buffet dinner, consisting of chicken parmesan, stuffed shells, roasted potatoes, and plenty of vegetables, was followed by an equally delicious dessert table, where guests were tempted by cakes and brownies. DJ Ice Man welcomed all to the dance floor, which soon became crowded with students and staff. For those wanting to take a break from the dance floor, video games were offered in the lobby, which also happened to be where the professional prom pictures were taken. Towards the end of the evening, door prizes were distributed; this year, the prizes ranged from gift cards to headphones to an iPad mini. NHA president Kathy Rosso-Gana got a special gift at the end – a birthday cake, complete with candles, a song, and a handmade card signed by students and staff. It was a magical night, one that will never be forgotten! Check out our flickr pics!
