Friday, April 12, 2019 was the night every high school student anticipates all year long – Prom Night! This year, the theme for New Hope Academy’s prom was “Old Hollywood.” Held at the Sheraton Hotel in Langhorne, PA, the evening began with the arrival of the students, when seniors could find their names on the “Walk of Fame” and guests could literally walk the red carpet! Everyone met in the hotel lobby, where students and staff could “oooh” and “aaah” over the beautiful dresses and dapper tuxedos. Attendees were then invited into the ballroom, where the real party started. DJ Jason Remaly welcomed all to the dance floor, which soon became crowded with students and staff. A delicious buffet dinner was offered, which consisted of chicken parmesan, stuffed shells, roasted potatoes, and plenty of vegetables; this was followed by an equally delicious dessert table, where guests were tempted by cakes and brownies. In keeping with tradition, the prom committee was honored for their hard work and door prizes were distributed; this year, the prizes ranged from gift cards to Apple AirPods to a GoPro. It was a magnificent night, one that will never be forgotten!
