The New Hope Academy students from the Yardley and Doylestown campuses visited Crossfit-267 in Trevose-Feasterville today for some intense instruction on weight lifting, cardio, workout safety and team building today. Ten students from each campus joined Mark Beuerle, Gary Harris, Monica Welsh, Cameron Stahl and Eric Jaber Sr for a fun filled afternoon of exercise, games, training and some laughs. Coach Eric Jaber (Jr) taught the students how to warm up and stretch out specific muscle sets as he trained them on all the components of the Deadlift. By the time they were ready to use the real bar and weights they looked and acted like star athletes. The students teamed up for a powerful cardio workout where teammates held up a barbell while one member at a time ran through 5 burpees, 7 box jumps and 9 sit ups. They did as many rounds as possible in 12 minutes. They cooled down with a 400 meter run. Everyone had a little rest before we ended with lunch. Some future athletes were born today!
