Thanksgiving Feast 2024

The thanks we give, no one big or small is forgotten. Friends reunite with glee and full bellies. Through the years of graduation, the class of 2025 has grown with love and camaraderie. “The food was amazing, especially the desserts. I really loved the pumpkin pie, and it’s a good preparation for the real Thanksgiving,” said Danny Hampton (‘29).

The seniors were placed in the east wing, which quickly became bustling with stories and laughter thrown around the room. The day was filled with satisfaction, not only by food, but with activities as well.

Dawn Boger, Heather Gana, and Kristen Brander dished out food to the students, which was devoured within mere minutes of reaching its destination. Math teacher Kathy Norek said, “I loved helping serve students and thought it was a great way to start thanksgiving, and, I must say, the food and company were just delicious.”

After each individual section of the school finished their food, everyone lined up in haste for the desserts, which were quickly stacked on top of the turkey and mashed potato mountain in each belly. It was the first year that the seniors were all separated in their own dining wing. The incredibly talented music instructor Jenna Alvino played music as she always does, bringing lively sound into the atmosphere. As it danced around the walls, some sang along while others ate.

Once each plate was emptied and discarded, everyone moved to either the big room for the classic movie, Pinocchio, or some went separate ways to play VR in Charlie Peterson-Victor’s or the Street Fighters Arena in Zach McDonough’s. Some students even wandered up to the art room or out to the hoagie bowl, playing football with gym teacher Mark Beuerle.

Scattered around the building were students, yet the school gleamed with positivity. Everyone left in a food coma and happy to have the holiday festivities begin.
