On March 2nd, 2016, 11 students from New Hope Academy participated in the regional Science Olympiad competition at Newman University. While there the students competed in 7 events: Air Trajectory, Bridge Building, Chemistry Lab, Electric Vehicle, Fossils, Game On, and Write It Do It. Of those events they placed in the top half of the 35 schools in four of those events. Our top finishes came from Fossils and Game On where we finished 12th overall. While at the event, our electric car was videoed by local news station CBS 3. You can check out the clip here:
